It took us a while

Our beautiful little boy, Jay Tyson, was born on Feb. 24, 2009 at 9:19 in the A.M. He was 7 lbs. 14 oz. and 20 1/2 in long. It was a long night leading up to it, but it is wonderful to have him now. He is just the cutest thing ever and has the funniest little mannerisms. He never ceases to make us laugh and smile. At his two weeks appt. he had gained 1 lb. and grown a whole inch! This kid is packing it on. It is crazy how fast they grow. When he was born he looked almost exactly like Katie's baby pictures but every day he starts to look more like Daddy. It is just amazing how much we love him, even though he wakes us up at least 3 times a night! Ha Ha.
Things are great though, despite the tiredness. Ivan is still plugging away at school and work. He is doing great. He has some tests coming up this next week, kind of a bummer cause his birthday is on Monday! Katie is super excited to spoil him! But he is a little stressed about those but he will do great as always. Katie is just trying to get used to being a mom and staying home all day. She has a hard time finding things to do sometimes, but is expanding her horizons. We have to mention the exciting news, Handicap Parking is going to the playoffs! They will dominate! On Thursday, Tyson had his first opportunity to go see his Dad play basketball. It was a very exciting day for both of the boys. We also got to take him to his first baseball game on Saturday. He lasted for 4 whole innings. We were very proud of him. He is definitely a great blessing! We love him lots! Life is great!

Well, the baby hasn't come yet, so we have decided to start blogging! We have had a fun and exciting weekend so far. Ivan just got done with his first test week of the semester and he did wonderfully. So we have had a nice break from the stress of school. Ivan is working on his masters in accounting right now at BYU and Katie is taking the semester off to have a baby! We'd like you to respond to the poll just to see what your opinions are. We have had a pretty difficult time deciding what this kid's name is going to be! Danger is not really an option, but Ivan has insisted on it being his nickname. Heaven help us all.
